Inheritance by Nora Roberts

Series: The Lost Bride Trilogy – Book 1
Narrated by: Brittany Pressley
My Rating: ★★★★★

This was my very first Nora Roberts book… and now I get why she’s a legend.

From the opening chapter, her writing painted a whole movie in my head. I could see it, feel it, and practically smell the haunted old house (yes, there’s a slightly creepy estate involved — and yes, I loved every second of it).

But let’s talk about the real star: Brittany Pressley. She’s one of my all-time favorite narrators, and she nailed this one. Her pacing, her delivery, her ability to give each character a distinct voice — it made an already great story completely addictive. I didn’t just listen to this audiobook, I lived it.

The plot is full of mystery, history, and a touch of romance, and it never drags. The characters feel real, the suspense builds naturally, and the atmosphere? Chef’s kiss.

The moment I finished it, I hit play on book two — no hesitation. That’s how hooked I was.

Audiobook Performance Highlights:
Narrator: Brittany Pressley

Bottom Line:
Whether you’re new to Nora Roberts or already a fan, Inheritance is the perfect start to a spooky, smart, slow-burn mystery trilogy. And if you’re into audiobooks? Brittany Pressley’s performance makes this a must-listen.
