The Missing Half by Ashley Flowers & Alex Kiester

My Rating: ★★★★☆½

Wow. I tore through this book in two days — and if it weren’t for a few unavoidable adult responsibilities (sigh), it would’ve been one.

The Missing Half is fast-paced, twisty, and refreshingly easy to read — but not in a shallow way. Every chapter pulls you deeper in, and just when you think you know where it’s going… BAM. New twist. New direction. New questions. It’s the kind of book that keeps you saying, “okay, just one more chapter” until suddenly it’s midnight and you’re still flipping pages.

What stood out most is how tight the writing is. There’s no fluff, no filler, no drawn-out scenes just to hit a page count. Everything feels intentional — every moment either builds suspense or develops the characters. It’s also realistic and relatable, which makes the emotional moments hit that much harder.

And here’s the kicker: you actually find yourself caring about — and maybe even rooting for — the villain. It’s layered, emotionally complex, and that ending?
Jaw. Dropping.
I was left wide-eyed and completely satisfied.

What I Loved:
-Quick pace and short chapters
-Multiple twists that actually surprised me
-Realistic characters you connect with — even the “bad guy”
-A satisfying, shocking ending that delivered

Bottom Line:
If you’re looking for a smart, binge-worthy thriller with twists that don’t feel forced and a story that grabs you from the first page, The Missing Half is 100% worth picking up. It’s addictive, emotional, and just the right amount of messed up.
